Time to Say Goodbye
Such a wonderful but hard day! We started off with one of Noah's favorites!
We didn't do lunch because Noah said he wasn't hungry...I think it was a bundle of nerves. Instead we headed to Moons Rare Books in Orem. Xander had told us about this book store so I started following them on Instagram and was dying to check it out. All I can say is WOW! They had so many cool things.
When one of the ladies that works there saw Noah and found out he was entering the MTC that afternoon, she took us in the back to show us one of the original Books of Mormon that they have.
She even let him hold it and I kept saying "Don't drop it!!!"
They have a bunch of original church books.
Even the floor was medieval bricks! The only thing I was bummed about was not seeing the vampire hunting kit the owner had shown on their Instagram account the week before. He had purchased it on a recent trip to Romania but the employees didn't know where he had put it.
We still had some time to kill before Noah's drop off time so we headed up Provo Canyon.
We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls for some pictures. They no longer have a tram to the top which I was bummed about. I remember going to a dance up there my freshman year at BYU.
And then it was time!
Drop off was super quick! We were met by a missionary who was assigned to take Noah in and show him where to go. We were able to grab a final picture, say our goodbyes, and then he was gone. They really slice through the apron strings!
I shed some tears on the way out and from time to time throughout the rest of the day. I am really going to miss my Noah but there is no better place for him to be right now. David took me to lunch at Jersey Mike's, then we met up with Dave and Therri after dropping off our rental car and we hit the road. A beautiful sunset somewhere in Wyoming.
