Xander Basketball - Perry Hall

Xander decided to try out for the basketball team and we were super excited when he made it! We knew that it would be a learning process but he has height on his side as well as the fact that he's a hard worker and very coachable. His team opened the season with a scrimmage against Perry Hall so David and I headed down there to watch. Clearly his teammates had more basketball experience than he has had; Xander never played travel or competitive basketball. However, towards the end of the game he did get some playing time.
I know he was disappointed in his performance but I saw his coach talking to him at the end of the game, encouraging him to keep his head up. We gave him the same advice and told him that as he worked hard at every practice and got more practice under his belt, all he could do was improve.

School Events

In December we had several fun school events we were able to attend. First up - Savannah made the Honor Roll!
She also earned a scholar athlete award.
Savannah did not want to pose with any of her friends for pictures but I was able to catch this one of her and Alexa before she headed off to class.
Xander's turn!! We're so proud of both of our kids and all their hard work in their classes.
Xander was much more willing to let me take some pictures. His friend Jamie...
Carly...
and Wisdom.
Wisdom is one of my favorites ever since I spent the day with her at Hershey Park.
Concert time!
Noah and his friend Marty.
Always so proud of Noah's musical abilities.
Xander's football award ceremony.
With two of his coaches. Coach Caleb is the one on the left. I'll never forget listening to his colorful language or Xander's stories about how tough all his coaches were on them. Xander absolutely loves playing football and I'm grateful that he has had such a great experience his freshman year.

Jazz Game

Recently the kids have become huge Utah Jazz fans so we were excited to take them to see the Jazz play up in Philly against the 76ers!
The opening ceremonies were extremely cool!
We were up in the nose bleed section surrounded by 76ers fans and all I can say is they had forgotten that they were in the city of brotherly love. We had some pretty mean things said to us, even the kids.
Another unfortunate was our Jazz were getting their booties smeared all over that cool 76ers floor.
Despite it all we had a blast being together and cheering for our Jazz. There's just something about watching your team play in person.
The final score does not truly represent the butt whooping we received.
All in all it was a fun night for our Jazz lovin' family! We're fans through the highs and lows!

Thanksgiving 2019

The Clarks have arrived! Let the fun begin!!
Of course Noah and Kellan started "fighting" right away.
Thanksgiving morning. Time to get the food ready.
We snack all day...
which is obviously a tough job and wears us all out!
Me and my cute girl!
We always play a lot of games.
The turkey is ready...
and the Martinellis is flowing!
We are so grateful for our many blessings, especially being together.
Time for football...and being on our phones.
The rest of the weekend we enjoyed going to see Frozen 2...
playing cards...
cuddling...
cheering on Ohio St...
and playing more games.

We are always so grateful for time spent with the Clarks! Another wonderful Thanksgiving together!!
