January 2026
January was a slow month for us, especially now that we don't have kids at home and wrestling to go to. But we did have a few fun things. First off - book club! December's history meeting had to be pushed into January due to the craziness of the holiday season. We learned all about different "Women of the Blue and Gray".
For Classics I chose a Rudyard Kipling - "Kim". It was fine, nothing amazing, however we did learn a lot about India.
I can't believe it's McKenna's last year of swim at Witt!
The whole family went up for McKenna's final home meet of the season and to celebrate Senior Night!
Way to start off the ight - first place in the Women 1000 free.
She swam the breaststroke, an event she never swims, and she did it all alone!
Way to go, McKenna!
Her relay team also got the win!
I have really loved watching this girl swim these past few years!
My subbing adventures continue! A student did a drawing of me apparently...
and I got another one later in the day by one of my favorite 7th grade history students that is now a sophomore. I think I like his drawing better!
