We had a wonderful Father's Day! One of the best parts of the day is always listening to all the Primary kids sing to the dads at church.
After church we hurried home, ate a quick lunch, and then headed up to Pennsylvania to check out the state park, close to Gettysburg, where the Stake Youth Trek would be taking place. David wanted to check out a few of the trails, making sure they were marked and that gates were open.
What a beautiful place!
We got out for a while just to hike and choose the spots where the families would be camping at night. The kids enjoyed jumping in the huge puddles, climbing on logs and trees, smashing the gazillion mosquitoes that were attacking us, and Savannah even caught a little frog!
Our hiking didn't last long; the pouring rain put an end to our fun. We headed home to enjoy a special dinner and for David to open his gifts. Noah made him some drawings and a cute card with an O on it, for the Orioles, of course!
He also made David a new suit! Pretty classy!
Xander also made David a suit though I think the orange and purple might not be the best color combination for David.
Savannah gave David some coupons which included making brownies together, a foot massage, and washing his car.
I am so grateful that my kids have a dad that loves them each so much, that spends time with them, and that works hard to provide for our family. Yay for Dad!
