A Morning at the Museum

One morning Grandpa, the kids, and I headed down to Cincinnati to the museums they have downtown. First stop was the IMAX movie on the Lemurs of Madagascar. Usually I don't have a problem with the huge IMAX theaters but this time I started feeling really ill and had to keep closing my eyes.
Although it was really fun to see the cute lemurs prancing around everywhere, some of the information given in the movie was lame to say the least. They described the lemurs as history's first great explorers as if these animals actually built a boat and headed out to find new lands rather than just being stranded on a part of Africa that broke off when the meteor hit the earth. Then some lemur scientist kept talking about these two lemurs falling in love...hmmm, that's not quite the emotion I'd use to describe what was going on between the male and female in the movie. But that's just me!
After the movie we walked through the Museum of Natural History. We've been here a few times so it didn't take that long. We always hit a few of the same photo ops, including the polar bear at the entrance.
Some prehistoric paintings...
and braving the dark tunnels of the cave.
The kids always insist on a picture running from the T-rex! Some guy was standing there with his kids and got the biggest kick out of our idea and made his own kids do it, hee hee!
A yummy ice cream treat to top off our fun morning with Grandpa! The lady serving us said that Grandpa was the first adult she's ever seen get the Superman flavor. That's our Superhero Grandpa!
