We all love going to the zoo but seriously, did we have to be greeted by a snake first thing? The kids were all brave enough to touch this patterned rat snake. I always thought rat snakes were black. Learn something new every time I go there!
Not only were we greeted by a snake but the kids wanted to head to the reptile house first thing. Oh, yay, we got to spend the next 15 minutes amidst a green mamba, vipers, rattlesnakes, alligators, and a cobra, among other slithery things.
The bummer news of the day was the gorilla exhibit was closed in the morning so we hung out with the gorilla statue. Just not the same thing, at least for me. They sure are cute kids, though.
Noah LOVES monkeys, probably because he is one.
Taking some time to ride the carousel.
After waiting in line for 20 minutes for the train just to find out it broke down, the kids definitely needed an ice cream treat to make things better. Life is just filled with disappointments, like missing out on a slower than molasses train ride that they've been on every other time we've come to the zoo.
A smiley moment.
This flamingo was hilarious! He kept bobbing his head up and down and kept eyeing Savannah.
Cutest baby giraffe ever!
The kids really enjoyed feeding the daddy giraffe and Noah even got an extra lick!
Cooling off bodies and maybe even our moods too!
