Saying Goodbye

This summer Savannah lost two of her best friends to moves. The good thing about Kaia's move to Germany is it's temporary; her family will be back in a year. But it's still a bummer to see them go!

Celine, however, moved to California in the middle of August and her family's move was unexpected and quick; we only found out the week before they would be leaving. It didn't give Savannah and Celine much time to soak up some final memories but they did the best they could. This move has been extremely hard on Savannah because she and Celine have been best friends for the past 7 years. We have loved living next door to Celine and her family and there were quite a few tears shed as we said our final farewells. We took a few pictures of all the kids together before they headed off to the airport.

Thank goodness Celine's dad still lives on the east coast so hopefully they'll make it out this way for visits from time to time. And there's always the phone, email, texting, and Facetime...thank goodness for technology!!
