Memorial Day 2024

Noah started off his Memorial Day with some fishing!

The fish decided to bite him right back!

Mom, Bryan, Heidi, and I headed over to Dad's grave to say hello and leave him some beautiful red, white, and blue flowers as well as some new flags. We talked about him and shed a few tears. Oh, how we miss him!!

Time to Party!

Heidi's End of School party is always so much fun and something we definitely look forward to! We didn't want Savannah to miss any of the fun so we got there a little early to get her situated under the pavilion.

One of the neighborhood kids showed up with four of his friends and asked Heidi if they could all come to the party. Ummm, awkward! There's no way Heidi is saying no but it raised a concern about them eating a bunch of the food so McKenna said she'd monitor things, ha ha!

Everything turned out just fine. Those boys weren't interested in the food, just the obstacle course. The rest of us gobbled up pizza, fruit, and candy!

Last year Noah only invited Braden. This year we encouraged him to invite a bunch of his buddies so he did! The more the merrier! Noah, Lachin, Nate, Braden, Ismael, Wade, and Vince.

and then a little pool volleyball against all the girls. It was so funny to see the guys cheer when they got a good shot but they met their match against Ciara. She carried the girls team!

It was definitely not easy to get through and a lot of the boys said it was quite the cardio workout. I was just praying no one got hurt!

and then the high schoolers decided it was time to do something together.

And it only got worse when the middle school boys decided to join in!

Taking a much needed breather! There were A LOT of middle school boys who were very intent on trying to take the high school boys down!

Meanwhile, over in the pavilion, the card playing had commenced and Ash was showing off her claw toe.

There were basically six groups at the party - adults in the pavilion, Noah and his friends, Ash and her gals, Kellan and his buddies, Ciara with her little friends, and Jay and his group which kept to themselves and did not mingle with anyone else. I was so proud of Noah and his friends because they had no problem beating up on Kellan and his buddies and all of them had such a fun time together! You could tell the younger guys were thrilled to be wrestling and playing games with the older guys.

Except for this kid, at this moment, being taken down by Lachin, ha ha!
