Independence Day

Our 4th of July started off with the musical 1776, one of our favorites!

But the rest of the day was definitely different this year. Ashlyn and Heidi were in Europe and Mom and Bryan decided to stay home and catch up with soccer games so it was a smaller group of us.

We hung out in the pool for most of the afternoon.

David was pretty proud that he beat them all! Cute little Ciara took a few shots as well.

No traditional 4th of July food for us this year. Savannah asked Ryan for Cafe Rio so we had the Mexican vibe going on. It was delicious!

After dinner we did several rounds of Telestrations which we all love. We always have to capture the best drawings!

We headed home before it was dark so we didn't even watch the fireworks, though we definitely heard them until the late hours of the night. Although our celebrations this year were a bit different, we still had a wonderful time together.
