Maryland - Day 2

Our second day in Maryland was really low key. I met up with friends for lunch at another favorite spot, Thai Spice. We had such a fabulous time catching up and hearing the latest on eveyone's families, all while gorging ourselves on summer rolls with peanut sauce, drunken noodles, and the most delicious mango sticky rice. Good thing I wore some stretchy pants!
David and Savannah ate lunch at Bountempo Brothers but were able to have a mini reunion with my best ladies when they picked me up.
After lunch we headed down to the hotel closer to where the wedding would be. Savannah had plenty of time to get ready before we dropped her off for the rehearsal dinner. She looked beautiful!
The original plan was to spend the evening in Anapolis but David and I were about done for the day so we found a kabobs place for dinner near our hotel. It was delicious!
After dinner we hung out at the hotel until it was time to pick up Savannah. Poor girl, I got a text from her around 9:30 saying how swollen her knee was, how tired she was, that everyone was just drinking and NOT getting ready to leave. I told her we'd just come get her and that we probably should have arranged to do that anyway. So we head out the door and immediately get a text from her saying that everyone had started to pack up so she'd just be driving back with Michaela and Cameron and would be at the hotel for pick up in about 20 minutes. No problem, we said. We'll just wait at the hotel since we were already on our way. Twenty minutes later she texted saying she was pulling in so we drove to the entrance...but she wasn't there. Mary, Michaela's twin, came walking out, looking for them as well. As Savannah and I texted back and forth about where she was, David looked up her location and saw that she was at another Fairfield hotel 20 minutes away. I let her know she was at the wrong hotel and her response was, No, you are. Actually, I said, you are. I'm sitting here talking to Mary right now. Finally they realized they were indeed at the wrong hotel, ha ha! They all felt terrible but it really wasn't a big deal. We got to talk to Mary and her fiance for awhile which was nice. I had actually been Mary's soccer coach when she and Savannah played in a rec league in their younger years. Savannah said the rehearsal dinner was really nice but her knee was super sore. We were all a little nervous about the long day ahead of her so we hurried back to the hotel and went to bed.
