Catching Up With Noah

Savannah and Xander have so many activities going on - soccer, Activity Days, scouts, basketball - that sometimes it might seem like Noah gets lost in all that. Although Noah did not have a lot of structured activities taking up his time this winter, he definitely kept himself busy. Noah has become quite the little reader and loves to curl up with a good book, just like the rest of us.
He also stays very busy with homework and projects for school. He recently completed a kite book report about a cowboy and a magic hat.
When we had those many, many snow days, a person had to be very careful walking around the house. One never knew when they would run into Noah and his dart gun.
That kid would pop out of nowhere, shoot me, and then run off!
He is very much into policemen and still insists that he wants to be a policeman when he grows up. Every once in awhile he will verify with me that I am still planning on dropping him off at the police academy each day, when he's older, of course, because he knows that's where he needs to go to learn to be a policeman and get his gun. I love how he used his nice church shirt and pants to make up his outfit since he doesn't have a policeman costume.
He loves to fill out tickets on us if we have done something wrong. One day we saw a policeman drive off and he was so bummed because he wanted to get the policeman's autograph. I told him not to want a policeman's autograph too badly because it usually comes attached to a ticket!
Every Saturday morning the kids do chores and one of Noah's is to get all the trash from upstairs. Well, he was moping around and didn't seem to be in any hurry to get started and I got even more annoyed when he went down to the basement to retrieve his astronaut costume. As I told him, now was not the time to play dress up!  He ignored me, put it on, put on his gloves, and started going from room to room, getting the trash.  As he flung one of the trash bags over his shoulder, I finally realized why the need for the astronaut costume - he was actually using it as a trash man costume!  Noah continues to work with what he's got to fit each role he wants to play.
We introduced the kids to the Rocky movies which they all loved, especially Noah. First came all the drawings:
You gotta love Rocky's chest and black eye!
And then Noah had to pretend he was Rocky, of course!

Noah will do anything for a laugh.
He fills our lives with entertainment, that's for sure!

As I continue to say, Noah is the sparkle of our family!
