June Celebrations

We weren't able to celebrate Savannah's birthday with her which is always so difficult! Thank goodness for technology so we can at least Facetime!
We also celebrated Father's Day with the Clarks (Dad wasn't feeling up to a visit).
A Happy Father's Day phone call with Sav...
and some fun gifts celebrating how great a dad David is!

A Special Visit

Mid June Melissa and her daughter Emma came for a visit. Emma had a friend from Columbus leaving on a mission at the end of the month that she wanted to see so Melissa turned it into a fun road trip/visit with friends trip! I was thrilled to see her and even though I had to work the whole time she was here, they stayed with us so we could soak up as much time as possible.
We fit in a trip to Graters,
dinner at a local pizza place,
lots of talks on the deck, enjoying the beautiful sunsets,
and an evening cheering Noah on at his swim meet.
We're as silly together as ever. While at the swim meet Tyler sent Melissa a picture of himself holding their grandson Jackson cradled in his arms with his head on Tyler's shoulder...so we sent him the same picture, ha ha!
It definitely wasn't enough time, especially because I had to work, dang it, but it was absolutely wonderful to have her here! I can't wait to see her again!

Swim Team

Noah always enjoyed summer swim but it had been several years since he had been part of a swim team. That changed this summer! His cousins convinced him to join their Barracudas team and he had a blast! During the two months of swim, he definitely improved and even tried new strokes, like the butterfly. Our favorite moment of the season was when he swam anchor in a relay and came from behind to pull out the win!
Noah and his pink cap borrowed from McKenna.

Kona Ice is a must at every meet!
He had a great time with these guys!

The Bullocks Visit

In June we had a wonderful visit with Kelly and her family. They stayed at the Clarks for a few days so her girls could spend some quality time with their cousins, especially Ciara.
Since Savannah had to stay in Utah for the summer to gain residency, we weren't going to have her home for her birthday so we got together to put together a special birthday package for her.
We wrote special birthday messages on balloons so that when she blew them up she would know how much we all loved her and were thinking of her.
Sisters!
One evening we had a fun cookout and swim party.
Cleo and Coco love to hang out together...after Coco's initial welcome of growling, barking, and chasing Cleo all over the yard, ha ha!
Fun times in the pool!
And then the party moved down to Cincinnati for the main reason why the Bullocks had come out - Swede's baptism!
She's such a little cutie!
It was so wonderful to be there all together as a family. Even Aunt Peggy and her husband John had come from Chicago for the special occassion.
Jared baptized her and Dad confirmed her. It was a very special day.
Cousins, including Swede's cousins that had come from Indiana.
Goofy faces!
Someone was extremely anxious to get out of his church clothes!
Back to Mom and Dad's to celebrate!
One of Mom's friends made these adorable cookies. They were almost too cute to eat!
One of the highlights of the afternoon was Kelly falling into the pool.
Swede wanted to make sure she was ok!
Mom's famous, delicious rocky road ice cream!
I truly treasure these special family events.
