General Conference and an Easter Egg Hunt

Heidi and I had debated whether or not to do an Easter Egg hunt but the weather turned out to be perfect so we went for it! It's rare for us to be able to do an Easter Egg hunt outside so the kids were thrilled to put their hunting skills to the test.
The look of determination on Noah's face...
And yes, Xander is wearing a skirt. Apparently when we announced it was time for the hunt, we interrupted the kids filming of another movie and Xander didn't take the time to remove his costume (no idea what or who he was in their film).
Success!
And more success!
Double-egg success!

Kellan had a bit of hard time with the hunt but, by the end, he was all smiles.
Xander was so sweet with Ciara and stayed by her side, making sure she found all the eggs she could.
The hunt was a hit! Candy and money-filled eggs - a great way to celebrate Easter Bunny Day!
We then hurried in to watch the Saturday sessions of General Conference. What a wonderful experience it was to participate in the Solemn Assembly and stand and sustain President Russell M. Nelson as the new President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Oh, how I thank my Heavenly Father for a latter-day prophet! And how special it was to be surrounded by family as we listened to all the amazing talks and were spiritually fed.
We were then physically fed with yummy Montgomery Inn, a very special treat for us all.

After dinner we hung out watching the Final Four playoff games. Such a great day with family!

Spring Break in Cinci

Since David was still unemployed, we figured spending Spring Break with our wonderful family in Cincinnati would be just the thing. The kids were thrilled! Easter break fell right at the end of March so we still had some sketchy weather to deal with as we headed their way.
It feels so good to be back together!
Yay for Uncle Bryan...
and Snapchat!
All these years he's been sleeping on this chair in Grandma's office. It's amazing that he still fits on it AND still prefers sleeping there.
Grandpa treated us to breakfast at IHOP and we spent a lot of time the first day hanging out, telling stories, and enjoying being together. Friday we headed up to the Clarks to spend the day at their new house. Of course the kids absolutely adore Cocoa.
Xander is finally taller than Aunt Heidi!
Lunch time,
electronics and lounging around in the basement,
and these two spent quite a bit of time playing games in the loft.
I watched them for awhile, took some pictures, and then passed out for a nap.
Ryan and Heidi treated David and I to a delicious lunch and, when we got back, it was time to dye Easter eggs.
Even David got in on the action. I loved his polka dot egg!
Enjoying time with the dog,
hot cocoa, which is always a thing at Aunt Heidi's,
and picture taking.
These goofballs!
They always have the best time together! If only we lived closer.
