September Days

We can always expect goofiness from Noah!
He consistently brightens my shopping experience.
More pleas for a puppy...
and a phone. They put together some very nice presentations.
A frap date with mom...
and scouting events. Here Xander was the MC for a Court of Honor.
We had two days off of school in September for Jewish holidays and the kids took full advantage. Savannah enjoyed a date at the movies with her friend Brendan...
and the boys and I went mini golfing with friends.
Noah and his buds enjoying what turned out to be one of Rocket's last days with us.

We were able to find a new home for Rocket with a bearded dragon lovin' woman, thank goodness. Noah was bummed for a little bit but it was best for Rocket...and me and David, ha ha!
To help contribute to our ward's 10,000 name goal, Noah tried his hand at some indexing!  He especially loves doing the WWI names.

Football Week 3

Saturday, September 8, I started my day at a seminary inservice meeting and David was off to Frederick for a special meeting for church leaders with Elder D. Todd Christofferson. Early afternoon had Noah's team playing at 1:30 at home and Xander's team playing in Bel Air. I had to drop Noah off and unfortunately miss his game so I could get Xander to his game. Despite the pouring rain, Noah's team picked up another win! On the other side of town, Xander's game was extremely exciting and, thank goodness, almost rain free.
It always feels so good to beat your rival, especially on their home field!

Soccer Week 1

Savannah's third year of high school soccer officially began with a game against Bohemia Manor. Due to the heat index of the stadium turf field, the game was played on the grass practice field. Some highlights of my girl in game 1.
Our girls got the win, 5-2. Savannah had 1 goal and actually scored a second that unfortunately the ref waved off. His terrible call brought on something I've never seen before - Savannah actually approached him and argued with his call. I was pretty proud of her because she was right - the ball had definitely gone in. Oh, well, the outcome of the game was still positive. Savannah also had a special friend come watch her play. She and Brendan have been hanging out the past few weeks and it was so nice of him to come cheer her on.

Highlights of game 2 against Perryville.
We also won this game, 7-0, with Savannah scoring two of the goals. I'm so proud of the way she's been playing! Some of the guys were there cheering and got a tunnel together for our victorious Rams.
