Maryland!

We're on our way to Maryland for Wedding Week!
We didn't exactly caravan out...we each chose a different way at one point and unfortunately the way we went got us stuck in some construction traffic. Ugh! But we were able to still meet up for lunch in Cumberland.
We had some issues at the hotel but once that was resolved, David and I headed out for some bridal shower groceries and then Savannah and I met up with Melissa and Emma to shop for goodies. So wonderful to be back together!!! We are ready to get this party started!!

Savannah is Here!

Our cute girl spent two months working as an intern at a police station in Utah and they loved her so much that they tried to talk her into staying! Alas, her time there had to end and they took her out to lunch to show their appreciation for all her hard work. Bonus - she got a recognition certificate!
She flew home to be with us for a few days before we headed out to Maryland and we were so excited to get her back that we threw a grillin' out/pool party!
Got to check out Ryan's new gun!
Once again, these two are ALWAYS wrestling!

Game Night

One of the greatest blessings in our lives is living so close to the Clarks. Unfortunately, as the kids have gotten older, their lives have become so busy that we don't always get to hang out but when we do, we have SO MUCH FUN!!! One Sunday evening we got together for dessert and to play Telestrations, one of our favorite games.
This game always brings lots of laughs!
We have some pretty talented artists in our group...
and some that aren't so very talented which leads to guesses such as this, ha ha!
Some of our favorite drawings of the night:
Topping off the evening with brownie sundaes.

Celebrating Dad

A lady who knew my dad when she lived in their ward works for an organization called LifeCenter and nominated him to be honored for being a donor organ. He was selected by this Donate Life organization to be recognized and have his picture and story in their 2024 calendar. So, the day before his birthday, which seems so fitting, the boys and I met Mom and Bryan down at a park in Cincinnati to do a family photo shoot and video interview. It might possibly have been the hottest, most humid day ever but it truly was a special thing to be a part of. Dad was always so generous and giving, even at the very end.
Super cool tunnel entering into the park.
After taking some family pictures, Bryan, the boys, and I hung out while Mom did her pictures and video. It was a beautiful view of the Ohio River.
Love knowing that my dad is receiving this recognition.
And Mom did such a great job!
We got to watch her interview.
Wandering back through the park we passed this huge statue of Cincinnatus...
and found the Cincinnati pig dressed up as a Roman soldier.
The flying pigs!
On Dad's birthday we visited his grave to wish him a Happy Birthday and to put in new flowers. If cancer hadn't entered his story, he would have been 76 this year. Oh, how I miss him!

Mosley

We were lucky enough to get to watch Mosley again this summer. He is such a sweet, lovable dog and gets along so well with Cleo. We all absolutely love him! I mean, look at that face!

July Fun!

We had a very cool visitor one afternoon. He was enjoying something tasty in our front yard!
Swim championships.
Unfortunately, once again, it was a cold, rainy, dreary day so we spent a lot of time hanging out in the tent.
Two of my social studies students were hanging out right next door to us!
Spent way too much time watching ants carrying crumbs.
So proud of these guys!
Youth bowling activity...
and a clean up service project.
Love getting pictures from these two lovebirds!
