Youth Activities

Our church youth activities always keep us busy! Hangin' with my Mia Maids for a night of planning class activities...
and playing games.
Savannah and I along with several other young women and Melissa served dinner at the Welcome One shelter.
Human foosball with the young men!
Savannah showing off her moves!
A fight for the ball!
Great kick, Xander!
Such a fun activity! The kids had a ball!
A night of Choice and Accountability.
The stuff we got for our sundaes was based on choices we had made in our situation packet. Thank goodness I didn't get ketchup as one of my ingredients or I think I might have gotten a little sick.  We had to laugh at Sommer because she didn't even get ice cream!

Welcome 2018!

We welcomed in the new year with a delicious spread, and spent the day watching movies
and enjoying root beer floats!
Happy New Year!
We had several weeks of extremely cold weather, so bitter cold that one of our favorite summer spots, Kilgore Falls, had frozen over. David and I decided to take a hike one morning to check it out while the kids were in school. Man, was it cold but I'm so glad we went because it was really cool to see.

Not all the falls were frozen; there was actually running water behind the frozen part which was really neat to see!
The view from up top.
It was such an enjoyable morning date but by the time we left, my feet were frozen! Not only that but an ice storm was on its way and the kids were coming home early.
January is for fun game nights!
On January 2, our beloved prophet Thomas S. Monson passed away so we all gathered around the TV ten days later to watch his funeral.

We will miss that great man!

Time with Family

How we spent the rest of our Christmas break: dress up and battles,
a movie and an attempt to eat lunch at Red Robin that failed miserably and had us leaving rather upset after waiting an hour (the pictures were taken right at the beginning of our wait),
hours of playing Wii,
hanging out and laughing, making movies, playing games,
and playing with Christmas gifts,
watching bowl games and taking a few naps here and there,
eating lots of good food,
especially the adults who got to enjoy a feast at The Precinct to celebrate Bryan getting his doctorate;
we had our own private room, which was awesome!
Ryan has his work cut out for him but he put this ginormous steak away with no problem!
All of the food was absolutely amazing and we couldn't get over the size of Dad's carrot cake!
Lots of cuddles...and ice cream...
and a breakfast at IHOP, which was a new thing for us. What a wonderful week with the family!
