Christmas morning and eager to go down and see what Santa brought!
Being unemployed meant a smaller Christmas but the Santa gifts remained top notch!
This was the year that Noah found out about Santa and, to be honest, he shed a few tears about it. Thank goodness he was all smiles with "Santa's" gift - Legos!
Legos for Xander as well.
And some tennis shoes for Savannah. All this girl seems to want is tennis shoes!
A little stocking chocolate to start the morning off right.
It was a wonderful morning of gift giving and receiving, laughs, and a few joyous tears.
Grandma and Grandpa delivered!
Noah and his Uncle Bryan.
These two have their own special language!
Hilarious moment of the morning - all growing up, whenever we would open a gift that was in a box, Mom and Dad would laugh and say, "Yay! You got a box!" Mom had a gift card for Xander but put it in a Christmas card box so when he unwrapped it, yep, they said, "Yay! Christmas cards!"
Xander thought they had really given him Christmas cards as a gift and was so polite, thanking them and doing a good job of hiding his disappointment. It was sweet and funny all at the same time.
Mom and her autographed Messi picture. It's going on the mantle because he's basically part of the family, even though he doesn't know it.
My little Roman soldier.
Grandma asked to borrow the helmet for a bit.
Grandma and Grandpa totally outfitted him! He's ready for battle!
Yum...the turkey is ready!
Enjoying the spread.
The Clarks showed up mid-morning so it was time for another round of opening gifts.
Yep, they got McKenna with the Christmas card box too. She did an even better job of being polite, putting her hand up to her chest and with all sincerity saying, "Oh my goodness, thank you!" Xander and McKenna are gems!
We LOVE the pistachios from Tricia.
Two peas in a pod.
The rest of the day was spent watching Christmas movies, munching on goodies, building Legos, playing, and the occasional nap. Unfortunately the Clarks had to leave and spend Christmas dinner with Ryan's parents but the rest of us enjoyed our delicious dinner together.
I am so grateful we were able to spend this very special holiday with our family in Cincinnati.
