Graduation!!

I had told everyone we had to leave at 4:30 for Xander's graduation. That meant "out the door and in the cars, driving down the driveway" leaving at 4:30. While waiting for the slow pokes of the family, I grabbed a few pictures.
Well, things were getting a little tense and Xander was worried that he was going to be late so decided to just drive himself. Thank goodness we were able to eventually get everyone out the door and on our way! His graduation was held at the University of Dayton arena, the perfect place for the ceremony - there were plenty of seats, it didn't feel too crowded, and it was easy to see all the graduates. And it was a fabulous graduation!! The talks were really good...and short...and for there being over 400 graduates, I was amazed that they kept it to under an hour and a half.
So proud of my graduate!
It took a little time to find him in the parking lot - thank goodness for cell phones! I couldn't wait to give him a hug!
Love all the family love and support!
Picture time! Not the ideal backdrop but I guess that's life.
We stopped at BJ's on the way home to grab some pazookies. Unfortunately the wait was way too long so we headed over to Graters.
Time just flies! It's hard to believe that my little Xanderman has graduated high school! I'm excited to see where his next adventure takes him.

Senior Photo Shoot

Saturday morning Xander and I headed over to the high school so I could grab some pictures of him in his cap and gown. He wasn't happy about it but he was willing to do it to please me. Thank goodness for his friend Ethan who met us over there with his family so that Xander had someone to share his torture with.  And wow, I was so happy with how the pictures turned out!
This was a tough one to get because Xander couldn't jump really high due to his knee injury.
This one was a struggle as well. The wind was a blowin' so those caps were going every which way!
My handsome guy!
Had to get one with the panther.
And of course on the field. Lots of time spent here!
One of my favorites!
I can't believe my Xander is graduating!!

Graduation Dinner

We said goodbye to Mason and the next day the Pierces arrived. It's always so fun to have family visit, especially when there are so many wonderful things going on.
Throughout the week Xander had his final exams, graduation practice, and his senior picnic. Friday night the whole family headed down to Cincinnati to the Boat House to celebrate his upcoming high school graduation. We got a wonderful spot right next to the window so we could look out at the river and watch the boats go by. And of course Xander enjoyed some ribs!!
I'm not sure if he liked them!
Pictures with the pig...
and the beautiful view.
We were so sad to be missing mom, who is still recovering from her foot blisters, and Noah, who had his final day of football Lift-a-thon.
