Tender Mercies

Ever since I was pursuing my history degree in college I have wanted to teach high school history and couldn't wait to have my own classroom. But my life took a different path. I never finished getting my teaching certificate because I was so hungry to graduate after all those years of school that I figured I would just get it later. Then I got involved with Fetal Fotos and then I became a mom and "later" turned into "just not happening". But Heavenly Father knew the desires of my heart and he got me my own classroom, one that was even better than a high school history class. These mornings with my seminary students were moments never to be forgotten and are some of my most treasured memories. Being called as a seminary teacher was one of Heavenly Father's tender mercies and I will forever be grateful to Him for giving me this amazing opportunity.
Some of the random moments from February seminary:
February and March are always tough months. Kids are on time and on time...and then all of a sudden it's 5:52 on a cold February morning and it's just me and Molly, ha ha.
Enjoying a physical feast with our spiritual feast!
We became boat builders like Nephi though I think ours were a little easier to build.
Though I don't think Abi agreed with that.
Jack and Sydney, our two quietest students, were the first to go around the room and help the others. Apparently they are experts at origami.
Showing off our boats!
Using a different classroom to change things up a bit.
And I always love having the kids teach!
More food...
and more fun, ha ha!
Oh, how we love seminary! What a blessing it has been for me and hopefully for these amazing youth!
