Football Week 1 - Lebanon

At the start of the week Noah injured his ribs during lift. We took him to the chiropractor which was a good start to recovering, however it didn't help enough with the pain for him to play in the first game of the season. In fact, during the first visit the chiropractor pointed out to me how the muscles on the opposite side of his injury were swollen due to compensation...he basically had a hump down the mid-right side of his back! It's so interesting how the body works! We were all super bummed that he wouldn't get to play in the season opener but that's life sometimes.
It was so good to be back at Friday team meal with some of my favorite ladies!
And of couse it was right back to being dressing girl!
Sydney and Doug Wine stopped at our house to spend the night on their drive out West to BYU so they joined us at Panera for our pre-game meal.
Let's go!!  Friday night lights!! We were all so excited to be back in the stadium though, since Brady quit during the summer, we were feeling the absence of the Jenkins sitting behind us.
Friday nights are going to be different for us this year - Noah plays JV so will only play Saturday mornings but we still enjoy cheering on Xander's and Noah's buddies so we're sticking to our Friday night traditions.
Although Noah is injured and would not be playing he dressed for the game and the team photographer got some nice pictures of him on the sideline and during warm ups.
First half we did great, left the field at half time ahead. Second half, not so great. We allowed them to come back and take the lead.
Xander hung with his buddies on the sideline and all of them were pretty upset that our team blew the lead and then ended up losing. This is our first loss to Lebanon in 12 years!! Definitely not the way we wanted to start the season!
Despite the loss we still enjoyed being together.
Saturday morning we were in Lebanon ready to cheer on our JV team.
My poor injured Noah...
spent the morning on the sideline watching.
Our JV team had better success than the Varsity team, beating Lebanon.
