My Rugby Girl

Savannah took a break from rugby last semester to adjust to married life and her new major at school. But this semester she's back at it! The team had a media day and took all kinds of cool pictures. Oh, how I wish David and I could go out to watch her play. Fingers crossed that they'll have some live streams again.

Wrestling - Mason

The cutest trainer around!

Noah had two matches tonight. The first was a tough one. This kid was super aggressive and hopped around like a frog.

Noah did such a great job but about half way through the 3rd round the other kid did some quick move and flipped Noah onto his back. It was such a hard landing on the mat that everyone in the gym gasped. We didn't know it at the time but it was that move that caused a back injury for Noah that would plague him the rest of the season. He ended up losing by pin. 

Also during that match two of his fingers were jammed so he got them taped up afterwards. Ash got to observe because this is one skill she doesn't know yet. The wrestler that beat Noah was super nice and came up after to make sure that Noah was ok.

Noah's second match he was able to pin the guy in the first round so that was nice. I gave Noah and his buds, Ismail and Lachin, big hugs after their matches and told them how proud I was of them. Each of them got a win tonight.

And then we got to watch Kellan! Love that wrestling has become a family thing!

January Fun

We actually did have other things going on in January besides wrestling, ha ha. I always love getting new pictures of my favorite missionary!

I love my sub life, especially when I have my favorites in class!

Our class activity at the start of the year is always our Boujee Getting to Know You night.

Although Scarlett moved up to the next class, I just adore this girl and had so much fun going to one of her basketball games. She's definitely a baller!

Every afternoon I go upstairs to take a power nap and Cleo joins me. In this cold weather it's so nice to have her warm body to cuddle up next to.

We got our first snow day! And it was a Friday so we got a 3 day weekend which was even better.

And book club! This month we read and discussed Persuasion, a Jane Austen book I had never read. We all really enjoyed it. We also briefly discussed our December book, A Christmas Carol, because we weren't able to get together in busy December.
