During the years we lived in Maryland the kids and I would make the drive out to Cincinnati every summer to spend a couple weeks with Grandma and Grandpa. On one of those visits Dad decided it would be fun to take all the cousins to a local dinner theater to see Peter Pan. All the kids said it was the highlight of our visit so of course Dad made sure it became one of our summer traditions. Our evenings at the theater over the years remain some of our favorite memories with Grandpa.
On Saturday, August 31st we decided a night at our favorite dinner theater would be a wonderful way to get through this tough day. The play was Shear Madness, an interactive play where the audience tries to solve Whodunit. It was hilarious and such a sweet evening together.
The next day we took the kids to his grave for a visit and to give him fresh flowers.
