March was filled with some extra fun activities with my young women! First we had a combined activity with the Activity Day girls - painting fingernails, doing hair, and making scrunchies!
Next up - paint night!
I found what I considered to be a really easy tutorial of a starry night and a silhouette of anything the girls might like - a fairy, a cat, a dragon...whatever!
While the canvases dried, we headed into the kitchen for appropriate Paint Night refreshments - a charcuterie and sparkling cider!
And of course we had to dress up for our fun night! Sommer was the rich patron, Melissa was her butler, Dani was a sophisticated French painter, and I was Bob Ross!
Back to painting!
Doing some spattering!
Unfortunately the girls weren't able to complete their silhouettes but they all did a fabulous job with their starry night! Such a fun night!
Our combined activity with the young men - dodgeball!
Even did glow in the dark!
Our last fun activity in March. Melissa was so excited to do the great reveal...
Ta da! She hung up the words backwards, ha ha! But the girls didn't mind, they were so excited to get started on our Chopped Activity!
They were put into 4 teams and given the exact same ingredients to come up with a masterful, amazing tasting dessert!
The judges are ready!
Group 1...
looked appetizing and tasted good.
Group 2...their faces say it all.
Looked extremely unappetizing and gross but didn't taste too bad. The biscuit was NOT cooked all the way, though.
Group 3...
beautiful presentation and tasted really good as well.
Group 4...
looked tasty but I did not like it at all. Something about the mangoes just did not sit well.
Awards were given to all and everyone enjoyed the fun night!
