March Madness!

March Madness is one of our favorite times of the year but this year is a tough one. This is our first tournament without Dad. So, to try and raise our spirits, we decided to get tickets to the first round of games played at the University of Dayton and just enjoy watching some fun basketball. We thought we were getting nose bleed tickets but Ryan is just so generous and upgraded us to some pretty awesome seats!

The first game was the Islanders (?) against some school from Texas. No name schools but it was still fun to watch.

We were super excited about the second game - Indiana vs Wyoming! Watching warm ups...

and the Cowboy mascot!

This game was much more exciting.

I have to admit that the best thing about this game was watching the fans. This Wyoming fan was fearless and had us laughing with his many antics! And the Indiana fans - completely rude and ruthless!

Such a fun night of basketball! So grateful that we got to go and now we're ready for the rest of the tournament!

Kicking Off March

David and I decided we were going to try something new for date night - dessert date night. We plan on hitting some of the popular spots and trying different desserts. Our first go at this was BJ's for their pazookies. Yummy!!

Melissa sent me the matching embroidery to the one she had already done. Such a wonderful gift!

Fun February

Although we are not Bengals fans, it was fun to see all the excitement surrounding their trip to the Super Bowl! I joined the fans at work sporting some Bengals gear the Friday before the big game but of course had to borrow the shirt, ha ha!

While visiting the high school David and I came across this artwork of Noah's displayed in one of the windows.

My YW class had a really fun combined activity with the deacons one Wednesday - Minute to Win It Games about the Old Testatment!

We were hit with an ice storm though apparently I still have to go to work.

Our February overnighter to the Indianapolis temple.

We have been staying at this really beautiful hotel. I love the decor...

and even the underground parking lot looks cool.

It was such a frigid day and on the drive home I was obsessed with the gorgeous sky and the sparkling ice on all the trees.

Ended February with a lunch date with my cute Xander. We had taken the boys to The Olive Garden for dinner a few months back and Xander LOVED it so we decided to do the lunch menu for our Saturday date. But apparently they don't do the lunch menu on Saturdays so it was a little pricier than I had planned. Eek! Oh, well, gotta spoil my Xander every once in awhile.

We then hit Barnes and Noble to get him a new book.
