This years at the boys' school they changed the awards up a bit, unfortunately in a way that I'm not too thrilled about. Rather than recognizing good behavior students each month, providing nine months for a child to earn this award, the school decided to set the bar higher and award the "Golden Eagle" only once a quarter (making it much for difficult for certain people in our house to achieve). Our Xander was chosen by his fellow classmates to win this award for the first quarter of school which obviously we were extremely excited about.
The award assembly!
Congratulations and handshakes from the Principal and Vice Principal.
Big smiles from our Golden Eagle winner!
Xander and his teacher, Ms. Kaschak.

Over at the middle school Savannah also earned some awards. First up was the Honor Roll, something she worked extremely hard to be on.
A certificate...
and kind words from the principal.
We told Savannah if she smiled for David's camera when she came off the stage we would get her a special treat. Bribery always produces the desired results!
Surprise, surprise! Savannah was called up again to receive a good behavior award. She was selected by her teachers for this special award because of her overall display of RAMS qualities, which include zest and grit. Zest and grit? Really? Hilarious! But we are definitely proud of her.

and best friends.
