August Celebrations

We had such a lovely little getaway to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. First we had sushi at this little restaurant down in Cincinnati. It was delicious!

Then we checked into our hotel that was right off the Ohio River on the Kentucky side. We had a great view of the storm as it rolled through...

and then the beautiful city and river at night.

There were fireworks after the Reds game so I sent video to the kids and told them that David had paid for fireworks for our anniversary. I thik they might have believed me, ha ha, but I did pretend they were in honor of our 27 years together.

Saturday was our actual anniversary so we decided to have a nice dinner at home with the kids. Poor David got stuck out in the downpour grilling up steaks.

The kids were definitely appreciative!

Tuesday was this guy's 50th!!! Celebrating early with some ice cream for breakfast.

Somebody was sure hoping he'd share!

Later that night we had City BBQ for dinner...

and the Clarks over to celebrate!
