David's Summer

Every once in awhile I like to post updates on what David and I are doing besides in our roles as parents. A big part of David's life this year has been his calling as bishop. Such amazing blessings have come to our whole family as he has served! One such blessing has been his presence at many of the youth activities, including a hike with Savannah at YW camp...
and then spending time with all the other YW at  Bishop's Night at camp.
He also got to spend a week with the Young Men in our ward at the week long High Adventure camp out.
He even performed his first wedding earlier this year.

David has always been such a great dad and I love hearing about his adventures with the kids. One afternoon when I wasn't feeling well he took the boys for a hike.
Needless to say, they had a great time together, especially because Dad lets them do things that Mom probably wouldn't let them do if I was there...like go swimming in the river! Fully clothed!!

He also spent an afternoon helping Xander make jam.
Oops! Here I am mentioning parenting stuff...it's hard to get away from what we do with our kids because that aspect of our life is so important to us. How about David's job - he's loving it! And I don't blame him. He gets to travel fun places and do fun things, like taking in a U2 concert in Boston.
Nice seats!
And a sailing trip in Boston Harbor.

But he deserves it because he works really hard and has done great things for the company. He works mostly from home, which I absolutely love, and we sneak in a lunch or a movie here and there.
