Monday, August 17th's Adventure - Kilgore Falls, one of our favorite summer spots!

The kids hurried over to the big rock, hoping that any hesitancy about jumping has finally been overcome.

It has - they all jumped right off, including Savannah whose fear of heights usually holds her back a bit. Not this time!

Time to face the freezing falls! Xander was trying to pump himself up and Noah wouldn't let go of Savannah.

Back to the rock for some more jumps. Noah offers up some brotherly encouragement. Or maybe he's telling Xander to hurry up so he can have his turn.  You never know with Noah!

They thought they could climb the falls this way. Uhhh, think again!

They got smart and went up the back way. It still makes me way nervous when they go up there.

While the boys did boy things, like skipping rocks, throwing sticks, and setting up bases for war...

the girls decided to do some modeling. When we first got there, there were two girls modeling for a photographer. All morning we watched them switch outfits and pose, often quite provocatively, all over Kilgore Falls. Thank goodness the boys weren't that interested but Savannah and Sydney apparently picked up a few new poses.
