Gettysburg Blue Gray Cup

The day after Hershey, I spent the day with Savannah at her Gettysburg soccer tournament. Crazy enough, her games were in Maryland, not Pennsylvania; I guess with so many teams playing they have to find available fields. It was a full day of soccer with her team playing in four games. Thank goodness they were all at the same location!
Result of game 1 against Arsenal - we got the win, 1-0.
Jersey change for game 2 against ACFC Fusion.
Game 2 ended in a tie, 0-0.
Hangin' out between games!
Unfortunately that's when the rain decided to pick up. We thought it was hilarious that Coaches Mike and Angie pulled out the umbrellas to stay dry while the girls had to warm up in the pouring rain.
The few pictures I got of this game against the Her-ricanes were from a distance as I sat under the team tent.
Victory for that game, 1-0.
We had a big break in between the third and final game so Savannah and I headed into town to get some lunch. I always enjoy spending one-on-one time with this cute girl of mine. Then, it was back to the field, this time to the stadium, for her final game against the team we played earlier, the Her-ricanes. Jersey changes for both teams.
The team celebrates after one of the goals we scored.
Conversing with her teammate Payton.
Savannah got the final goal in this game, contributing to the team win of 2-0. With a win on Sunday morning, Savannah's team went to the playoffs but ended up losing in the finals. It's always a bit hard for Savannah to miss those final games but I know she is making the right decision. Another medal for her collection!
