Christmas Break

Why do gingerbread houses at the start of December when you can cram them into the last week of the month? Especially when these kids spend only about 15 minutes on them.
Savannah's 15 minute masterpiece. She said it's much more fun just eating the candy.
Noah's cool train!
Xander was the one who actually spent a bit more time on his and it really looked good.
I loved all the little touches he added, especially his roof!
We also saved the temple lights for after Christmas, hoping that it would be a bit less crowded, which it was. The sky was absolutely beautiful as we drove down.
I love seeing all the lights - they do an incredible job!

We went inside for a bit to get out of the cold and look at the displays.
The nativities from around the world are amazing! I took pictures of some of our favorites:
Noah in front of the world ornament tree...
and Xander wanted a picture with one of his favorite prophets, Moses.
Back out for some final photos!
Bowling time!!
The winner and her kids!
None of us had any big plans for New Years Eve so we hung out together. David prepared some delicious tempura...
the kids enjoyed some caffeine goodness to keep them going until midnight...
and we spent our evening building Legos, watching movies, and enjoying treats!

Goodbye, 2016! Bring on 2017!!
