Turkey Day 2016

Thanksgiving Day is finally here!
Early morning shenanigans! And Noah is still sportin' the hat.
Getting the bird ready.
Phase Ten with breakfast.
We put out the lunch spread around noon so people could munch while enjoying The Twilight Zone Marathon.
Apparently The Twilight Zone wasn't the best idea; some of the kids were up during the night with nightmares and of course the alien episodes scare the pants off Noah.
Apparently Ciara really loved the deviled eggs...just not the "thing" in the middle of them! I just had to take a picture of how she left it on her plate, ha ha!
We spent our afternoon talking, playing Phase Ten on our phones, watching football,
playing,
and being entertained by the kids, especially their movie they made.
Time for our Thanksgiving feast!
Cheers!
During dinner we went around the table and had everyone tell one thing they are grateful for. Every Thanksgiving I am so grateful that the Clarks make the long drive out so we can be together as a family.
Towards the end of dinner we told the kids that since we adults had spent a huge part of our day preparing the meal, it was only right that the kids do the cleanup, including clearing the table and washing the dishes. Let the exodus begin! Needing to run upstairs for something, needing to use the bathroom, or just plain sneaking away...the kids started disappearing in a flash. Except for this guy. Xander willingly went into the kitchen and started to clean up even though we had pretty much been joking when we made the announcement. I am sure grateful for my Xanderman!
Pumpkin pie for dessert and another Thanksgiving Day has come to a successful end!
