It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

For whatever reason, this year Savannah, Noah, and I were all in the Christmas mood well in advance. I even had plans to put the Christmas tree up before Thanksgiving (gasp!) but once David got wind of it (from Xander, bah humbug), the old scrooge was having none of it. So, I had to settle with getting the tree up the Sunday after Thanksgiving which is probably the earliest a Christmas tree has made its appearance in our home in years!

Bring on the ornaments! Savannah insists that she gets to put the first ornament on the tree because she's the oldest and whatever Savannah wants, Savannah gets.

Decorating the tree is always a walk down memory lane. The kids always comment on this or that ornament...

and we ALWAYS bring up the nutcracker fiasco!

Xander's turn to put the moose on the top of the tree. The kid is so tall he didn't even need a chair!

Not sure why Noah is grumpy...maybe because he didn't get to hold Cleo. The whole what Savannah wants thing is definitely in play.

Cleo got her own little picture in front of the tree. We were all really nervous about how she'd do with the ornaments but she pretty much just left them alone.
