I woke up early and sat on the deck, enjoying the view and writing in my journal until Bryan joined me. We talked for awhile until others started getting up. Also enjoyed a little hammock time - what a beautiful way to spend the morning in St. John!
Invasion of the iguanas, ha ha! They were all around our yard!
A gorgeous day in the islands!
We are ready to head out to Maho!
We hit some traffic on the way in.
They were very accomodating and let us pet them.
The plan was Maho but we got a little bit of a late start so, by the time we got there, it was packed. We decided to head back to Trunk Bay which we had passed by on the way and had seen that it wasn't very busy. A benefit of Covid? No entrance fee!
It's so wonderful to be back!
The kids went snorkeling first thing but weren't that impressed. Apparently there wasn't much to see.
I love the little fish that come nibble at my painted toenails.
We spent some time at the little cove, climbing rocks...
and playing in the water.
I just sat near the water, digging my toes in the sand and basking in the fact that I was on St. John.
Cute cousins!
Almost stepped on this guy!
Love beach time with my kids.
We spent A LOT of time on our floaties!
Xander, just hangin' out on his floatie, eating some lunch.
Savannah loves to search for shells and she found some real pretty ones.
Another sting ray snuck up on Xander!
Some final pictures for the day!
What a view!
We stayed until about 5:00 and then headed back to the house to clean up before dinner. On the way there Bryan kept singing so we joked about his life being a musical, bursting into song whenever he feels like it. He even came up with a Deja View song that sounded a lot like the dwarves song in The Hobbit.
For dinner we decided to check out Skinny Legs in Coral Bay.
It was such an enjoyable evening and the hamburgers were delicious!
Unfortunately we had left all the Father's Day cards and gifts at home so David was out of luck. Heidi and I did call Dad to wish him a Happy Father's Day and tell him how much we missed him and wished he was with us. It's definitely hard not having them with us.
Favorite Memories for Sunday:
Bryan - really liked Skinny Legs, wished he had snorkeled around the cove at Trunk Bay
Ash - playing Truth or Dare while floating
Noah - floating around
X - relaxing on the floatie, having it be the first day
Savannah - liked it all
Kellan - snorkeling
Ciara - finding cool rocks at the cove
Ryan - the kids dancing to the Bee Gees with the locals
McKenna - playing Truth or Dare
