Enjoying breakfast out on the deck! What an absolutely gorgeous morning!
Poor Kellan had to soak his foot in hopes of removing the rest of the sea urchin spines.
Pondering what this very interesting plant is...
Nope, we don't have a clue!
We love all the tropical plants and flowers around the house.
Originally we had planned to go to Salt Pond but decided to go to Francis Bay instead. I'm so glad we did because the hike back to the car at Salt Pond would have killed us! It was extremely hot today! The sand was so hot that we couldn't even walk on it or play in it. We were lucky to get to Francis when we did because we ended up grabbing the last two parking spots.
We spotted this beautiful conch shell occupied by a very grumpy crab.
We did all our family and group pictures today because the sky was the bluest and clearest we'd had all week. I think they turned out great!
We had to get at least one goofy one!
According to the ones who went out snorkeling, it wasn't that great.
But Noah and Bryan did enjoy their "snorkeling" photo shoot, ha ha!
We spent most of our day floating in the water, just trying to stay cool.
Some guy time.
Sibling love.
We left the beach around 2:00 and on the way home we stopped at the overlook of Trunk Bay to grab some more pictures. Seriously, how could you pass up photos of this view?!?!
We hung out at the house for a bit. My favorite spot in the afternoon is definitely the hammock.
Heidi joined me...
and then little Ciara.
Some of the local wildlife around the house. On Monday I had found this little gecko under my flip flops. When I moved them, he raced under the bed. I've spotted him a few times and unfortunately we had a little mishap with my foot and his tail. Hopefully it grows back.
The iguanas are all over the place!
And this afternoon we spotted this mother hen and her chicks.
We went into town for a little shopping and then made the long drive to the other side of the island for dinner. Once again our car ride was one of the highlights of the day! The topics of conversation ranged but it got truly hilarious when Bryan started making up country songs with lyrics about David kicking him out of the car. Then Bryan sang, "Then he remembered he was a Christian" and Savannah piped in, "And that's not what they do!" That one had us all dying with laughter! Bryan continued, "Then he did some repenting" and David ended the song but unfortunately none of us could remember his ending. Oh, well, we do remember it ending perfectly!
We had decided to eat at a restaurant that Heidi and Ryan had absolutely loved from a previous trip to St. John. They were supposed to have great tater tots and we were all looking forward to it. However, since they had last been here the restaurant had changed and it wasn't that good. Ugh!
Still, we always enjoy just being together even though we are forced to sit at two separate tables due to Covid restrictions.
Heidi's nasty noodles that she couldn't even eat. Xander had no problem helping her out!
Kenna and her love of goats!
After dinner we walked down to Skinny Legs and did some more shopping. Back at the house we did memories and then watched a video by President Nelson. Another great day! Oh, and Bryan likes his new hat!
