Day 2

Our cute, musty little hotel room!
We grabbed some breakfast and headed over to the temple. What a peaceful place to start our day.
Back on the road! A few sights along the way...
And look who's taking a turn at driving!
We drove out into the middle of nowhere, along this long dirt road, just so we could check out Haun's Mill.
There's nothing there now except for this little marker which they believe is close to the location where people that were killed there were buried.
We wandered around, talking about what had happened here. It's such a pretty area.
Savannah wasn't too pleased about the consequences of driving on a very bumpy dirt road.
More beautiful sights along the way.
We visited several other church historical sights - first was Farr West;
next was Liberty Jail where we had to be content with sitting outside and watching a video about Joseph's experience there;
and finally Adam-Ondi-Ahman. We had had a little hiccup with one of the tires on our way here but a lovely trucker at the gas station helped us get it taken care. Thank goodness for good people and thank goodness it wasn't a major problem and we were able to make it to this special spot.
The rest of our day was spent driving to Nebraska where we spent the nigth at my friend Michelle Eberly's house. They had moved there a couple months previous and it was so fun to see her!
