Preparing to Move

We decided YES to the house on Thursday, August 13th, and from that moment on everything went into warp speed! The plan was to head out in 2 weeks - August 25th - to Cincinnati where we would drop off a ton of boxes to be stored in the Clarks garage as well as Xander who would stay with the Clarks so he could join the football team which had already started practicing in Ohio. Savannah and I would then continue on to Utah while David and Noah would go back to Ohio to do final packing and try to sell our townhouse. It was a crazy time!
I had put out pleas for boxes and one of the families who donated some to our moving effort was the Lymans. When I stopped to pick up the boxes I got to spend a few moments loving on their dogs...or rather, they were loving on me with their slobbery kisses!
The packing began and with 15 years worth of accumulated things the kids were bound to discover old treasures.
Literal mountains of clothing to sort through and pack. Not only was Savannah packing to move things to Ohio but also for her first year of college!
One tough worker, ha ha!
We had plenty of little projects and home improvements to do before we could list the townhouse.
And there were the final goodbyes to be said. Crab dinner with the Pauls...
lunches with dear friends, Tracy...
and my bestie, Melissa;
hugs and tears from Angie, Savannah's soccer coach, and Alexa;
and Devin, one of Xander's best friends and his parents.
