Kilgore Falls

Kilgore Falls is a must every summer! I expected to only spend about an hour there but everything is much more fun to do with friends and with all the good times the kids were having with the Wines and the Hardys, we ended up staying over 4 hours at this lovely spot.
We got there around 9 in the morning so the day hadn't had a good chance to heat up and the water was freezing cold. The kids were brave and headed on in but had to dare each other to go under the waterfall.
Getting closer and closer...
Xander said, "No way! This is too cold! I'm getting outta here!"

Way to go, Sav and Noah!!! I LOVE this picture of the two of them.

Lots of time playing on the rocks
and hangin' with friends.
Then the kids decided to be daring and climb on the big rock.
The first to jump off? Xander, of course! This kid is one brave guy and has no problem with heights.
Savannah, on the other hand, was a lot more hesitant.
It took her some time but she finally did it!
And Noah? Despite the look of terror on his face, he wasn't scared at all.
My boys are both daredevils...off he goes, no problem!
Then all the kids hiked to the upper cliff which had us moms definitely worried. We made them all come down.
More time in the water...
having fun on the little slide,
and finding lots of rocks to throw as well as skip in the water.
Xander and his buddy Spencer.

We had a blast! Another fun summer day!!
