Fun With Grandparents

Because we don't have any family nearby, we are delighted when they come visit! Not only did we get to spend some fun-filled days with the Pierces at the lake, but they were there to cheer Xander on in one of his  baseball games...

and when his flag football team played in the championship game. Unfortunately his team lost but it's always nice to have a few extra cheerleaders!

They took us to lunch at Red Lobster where Noah fell in love with lobster, so much so that he took some of the tail home, determined to keep it in his "collection". I made sure that "collection" made it in the trash by the end of the day.

Other than me knocking my full glass of water all over the table, it was a delightful lunch!

And whenever Grandpa Pierce visits, he makes sure to help one of the kids make strawberry jam.

We treasure the time we get with them and hope that one day we'll be able to see them a bit more often.
