Trek!

In June Savannah joined the other youth from our stake ages 14-18 to trek across the "plains" of Pennsylvania in a pioneer adventure! For three days they went without electronics or other modern conveniences, pushed handcarts, and slept under the stars to help them better understand the experiences and faith of our Mormon pioneers.
Saying goodbye to Dad and home!
The Winters Run youth are ready to go!
Our awesome young women!
I am so grateful to all the wonderful people who took the time to take pictures! This is at the start, when all the youth were still excited and smiling, ha ha!
Savannah's Memories":
-Something challenging - on the first day we all had to make it down a very steep hill!
-The dance and the activities after we got to camp the first night.
-At camp we played "Steal the Bacon", one of my favorite memories.
-The second day there were different scenarios - meal stolen, someone got left behind, a cart broke - to help us get the full experience
-The women's pull and how it just felt like there was help from heaven and how unified all of us girls felt.
On the last morning when we were all packing up, Alan had mini Uno cards and we all sat and played.
And she made it! I'm so proud of this girl for making it through this experience!
