Christmas Break
We tried to do some fun things while Savannah and Mason were visiting but also have some days where we just chilled at home. It's all about finding the right balance. The day after Christmas we headed to Red Robin for lunch with the Clarks...
and then saw the movie Wonka. Right at the beginning Willy Wonka starts singing and David and Noah both just stared at me. I could have sworn that I had told them it was a musical. Although it was a rough start for them, they both ended up enjoying the movie.
It was an exhausting outing, ha ha!
Wednesday we headed up to the temple. I swear it's always cloudy or raining when we go.
One of my favorite things we did over the break - the Giving Machine. I was so excited to find out that this year they were going to have one near us because I have always wanted to do this. There were so many cool things to choose from!
I was so proud of these two for doing this act of service.
We finally decided on a veteran comfort kit, a backpack for a homeless person in Cincinnati, milk for 10 families in need, a school uniform for a young African girl (to go along with the shoes that Savannah and Mason purchased), eggs for three local families, and a handwashing station. So grateful for this opportunity to give!
After the Giving Machine the girls headed down to Cincinnati to meet up with Mom for lunch and shopping. We had a great time together!
Cuddle time with Cleo.
Yummy homemade pizza and plenty of movie watching.
And thank goodness for wonderful members in Utah who know how much it means to send a picture of Xander. I got two this week!!
