Jackie was so proud to be a Virginian and loved learning about history, especially the Civil War. We discussed books and politics and how to solve the problems of the world. She was a great conversationalist, asking a gazillion questions and expressing great interest in what one had to say. She loved to peruse the gift shops whenever we visited a historical site and always picked out fun little knick knacks. She was a wonderful cook but definitely preferred to eat out. She had a beautiful singing voice and was musically talented. She loved God and the scriptures and her family. She was so patient and kind and I'll be forever grateful for the amazing job she did in raising David. At times like this I'm especically grateful for our Heavenly Father's plan of love, that families can be together forever.
These are a few pictures I had on my phone. I definitely have much more on my laptop, especially when the kids were little and we lived in Utah. Thank goodness we got to see her twice this year because it had been a few years. She and Dave came out for Xander's graduation and then we saw them in Cedar City for Savannah and Mason's wedding reception.
