Kings Island

We had promised the kids that we would go to an amusement park during the summer so while we were in Cincinnati we decided to head to Kings Island with the cousins. We had a fabulous time!
It was a much better price to go from 4:00 to close so that's what we did. And guess what? A lot of families were leaving around 4:00 so we had several hours of small crowds and hardly any waits for the rides. While we waited for the Clarks to arrive, David and the kids went on this crazy drop ride!
Noah was all smiles...
but Savannah was a little nervous. She hates heights!
Our first roller coaster was the Banshee. Our pre-ride picture.
What the ride did to Ryan's hair...
and what it did to David. I felt pretty nauseous after the ride but it did a number on David. He felt so sick that for the next several hours he basically just sat in the shade and drank Cokes, trying to feel better. The kids loved it and, because there was no line, went right back on!
While David went off to try to recuperate, the older kids went with Heidi and Ryan to ride roller coasters and Ciara and I headed to the young kids area of the park. I wasn't sure if she would be okay with hanging out with me but she took my hand and off we went! I loved spending time with this little cutie!
I had to really talk her into going on the Boo Blaster ride. We even left the line as we got close because she was really nervous about the ghosts. But, she changed her mind, we made it on, and she loved it so much that we went on it three times in a row!
Meeting a few characters!
Ciara LOVED the bumper cars and I loved watching her excitement and laughter as she and the other kids would ram into each other.
That face!
Riding a roller coaster,
the carousel,
and a plane!
Heidi sent me pictures from time to time to keep me posted on what the older kids were doing.
All of them enjoying slushies!
We met up for dinner and to ride a few more roller coasters. David was finally starting to feel a little better but he still avoided rides for the rest of the night.
The thrill of the ride!
I loved the changing colors of the Eiffel Tower.
A few more night time roller coaster rides and then fireworks.
What a fun day!!
