Sand Soccer Tournament

Earlier in the year, when Savannah was still playing for Northern Elite and we hadn't made the official jump to Cardiff, I brought up playing in the Ocean City sand soccer tournament to Coach Shawn and the other parents and everyone was on board. By the time the tournament came around in early August, although we had switched teams, we still felt Savannah should play because she had committed to this tournament. Turns out it was her last official play time with her Northern Elite Wildcatz team so I'm so glad we did it. Plus it was just fun being at the beach!
Xander had stayed back home to attend a Beehive/Deacons conference so it was just Noah hitting the water literally minutes after we arrived.
He is definitely a little fish!
Warming up for game one.
We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was warm but not hot and within minutes Savannah took off her sand socks because the sand was so cool.
Game one was against a brutal team and, although we played tough, we ended up losing.
A little break in between games.
Noah found some friends!
Hangin' with my girl!
Time for game 2.

Love this picture!
Another tough game but we ended up with the win!
Time for some teammate pictures!
And some fun team pictures! Tough girls...
cute girls...
some behind the scenes footage...
Success!!!
Another break and we were back down at the water.
Noah needed his ocean time!
And David and Savannah needed some relaxing time.
Warming up for the final game. This last one was the most fun because the Wildcatz teams were playing each other.
Noah, starting out all smiles...
Lauren and Savannah, battling it out!
Noah, half way through the game...
I absolutely love watching my girl play! She was able to get a few goals throughout the day, including one in this final game that helped the red Wildcatz team come away with the win!
Noah, back to all smiles, with a funnel cake and blue raspberry slushie to end our fun beach day!
