Ever since Harrison's family moved to their farm we have been talking about having a seminary class activity at the farm and mid-October it finally happened. And it also happened to be Harrison's birthday which made it extra fun! We spent the first part of the evening checking out the alpacas...
rosting marshmellows and enjoying some s'mores...
and then taking a hay ride around the property.
Time to check out the animals. Sav's favorite were the pigs!
it's donkey!!
Not too sure about kissing the animals...
Happy Birthday to Harrison!
The models!
Games, food, and lots of laughs!
Toasting her buns! It was quite a chilly night!
Finishing up the night with the 4-wheelers.
Such a fun night with this great group of kids!!

Sports Week 8
I already wrote about Senior Night but there were three other games this week. Savannah's team played up in Elkton on Monday night so Mom, Dad, and I headed up there to cheer her on. It was a very cold night and our team played one of the worst games they've ever played. Amazingly enough, they still won 1-0. Since it was Elkton's senior night, they honored our seniors as well. This is in fact the only picture I got from the game that night!
On Thursday Xander's JV football team played at home against New Town, an undefeated team from the city. They were tough and their parents were getting super testy in the stands as our guys held them almost the entire game. Xander started both the second and third quarters and had a great game. He even came up with a fumble recovery!
The game was tied 6-6 with under a minute to go in the game. We had the ball but our quarterback had been hurt so we had the backup in. On the third down he passed the ball which was intercepted and run back for a touchdown. We were soooo bummed! Although we lost 12-6, we were all so proud of the boys for playing this team so well.
The final game of the week was Noah's against Hereford but I had a seminary party to go to so wasn't there to get pictures and David for sure isn't going to take any. His team lost yet again.

Savannah's Senior Photos
I had a dear friend of mine who is a professional photographer take Savannah's senior photos and I couldn't be more pleased. I absolutely LOVE them; Savannah, on the other hand, was extremely disappointed with them. I just sit here shaking my head. What a beautiful girl, not only on the outside but the inside as well.

Senior Night
A long awaited evernt - Savannah's senior night for soccer. This was a tough night with lots of emotions, plus David was out of town for work and had to miss it. What a blessing, however, to have my parents able to join us in this special night for our Savannah.
As we started to walk down the track, listening to things about Savannah as a player, I started to get very emotional and had to tell myself to pull it together. Some of the things mentioned in her tribute: Savannah played soccer for 4 years, 2 on Varsity (thanks, Coach Rankin); she would be attending a 4 year university in the fall to study criminal justice; she wanted to be remembered for always working hard despite the challenges and for being a good teammate; she would remember getting stitches after being punched in the face by a goalie and overall the fun she had playing the sport she loved; her advice for younger players is to stay away from goalies; she also thanked all her coaches for pushing her to do her best, her teammates for being by her side through every win, loss, and run, and for her parents for their endless love and support.
Her biggest fans!
The girls had a great game! Usually North Harford gives us a run for our money but not tonight. We pretty much dominated the game!
Heading down the field...
with a shot on goal.
Unfortunately this one didn't go in.
The play that really cinched the game was when their goalie got out of position and one of our players took a shot on goal into a wide open net. One of their defenders actually took her hand and punched the ball out of the goal in her attempt to keep us from scoring which is an automatice red card. For the rest of the game, which was about 10 minutes or so, they played down a player. We won our senior night game 3-1!
Although they were on opposite sides of the field tonight, we still adore Rachel and Taylor, Savannah's Northern Elite teammates.
Sav had lots of fans supporting her tonight!
Such goofs!
I loved every minute of this special night!
