One Busy Saturday

November 18th started bright and early with a ward cleanup service activity. Thank goodness for donuts and hot chocolate!
Our family headed over to a single sister's house to rake her leaves. The kids did great!
But of course if you're going to rake a big pile of leaves, you MUST jump into them!
And fling some around!
However, once we spotted some dog poop, the kids were very anxious to get everything scooped up and put in garbage bags.
The no-nonsense one of the bunch.
From there we hurried home, changed, and headed down to Annapolis for the first game of Savannah's tournament. Celtic had a great game!
Noah found some friends to hang out with.
Savannah scored one of the goals! All the parents were laughing at me because I'm there taking all these pictures, but then when she goes to score, I put down the camera and just cheer.
We won the first game 3-0!
We left Savannah with her coach and took Xander about 20 minutes away to where the second playoff football game was being held. Xander had been sick all week, running a high fever, and he still wasn't feeling that great so we were a little worried to see how he'd do. Waiting on the sideline while the captains meet.
My favorite number 14!
What an exciting game! There were several lead changes, some exciting plays, and a great effort by all our players!
Xander played super tough and one would never have known that he was under the weather.
Once again it came down to the very end of the game and, once again, our guys were able to come away with the win!
Next up - the state championship!!!!
We kept Xander in the rest of the night instead of joining some of his teammates for dinner and this is the text we got from his coach. We are definitely proud of all that Xander is learning and how hard he works to improve.

As for Savannah's second game of the tournament, it ended up in a tie, 1-1. But she got another trophy for her shelf!
