Round 3 of playoffs - the semi-final game against Bel Air. We knew this wouldn't be a walk in the park like the previous two games had been.
Bel Air is always a strong team and should actually be in a different division than Edgewood but you gotta play hard against anyone you face and our girls went in playing tough!
Pre-game cheer!
Not too long into the game, here comes Savannah! We were so excited that she was getting some playing time!
She played so well!
At halftime the score was tied, 0-0. The Bel Air fans and especially the parents were NOT pleased. Edgewood was supposed to be an easy victory for them and here we were, sticking even with them. At the start of the second half there was our girl, starting!
And the battle continued!
Pictures from the photo mom...
Savannah got a ton of playing time during the second half and we were so proud of the way she played. Unfortunately Bel Air ended up with the win, scoring three goals in the second half, only one of them being legit. Despite the loss, we were all super proud of our Lady Rams and their great run in the playoffs!
The Saturday after Savannah's game both the boys had their second football playoff games. I got to watch Xander play against Hereford in a beautiful fall setting.
Hereford had beaten us during the regular season but that was then; we were a different team by the playoffs.
We handily beat them this time around and I think the other team was stunned! Our boys played so well and we were so excited that they would be heading to the league championship game! They were definitely celebrating after this win!
As for David and Noah over in Elkton, well, when you face a team where players are bigger than the refs, you know you're going to have problems.
Noah's team ended up losing but all the parents were thrilled that they had even made it to the second round. Noah thoroughly enjoyed his first year playing football.
