Our Final Day

Savannah's final tournament game was in the early afternoon on Saturday. It was such a gorgeous day!!
The game? Not so great. We played one of the top teams from South Carolina and they played a defense that Savannah's old team was learning to do before she left. If done correctly, it's almost impossible to break...and this team did it well. Poor Savannah - the way our offense is set up there was absolutely NO WAY she was going to have any success up top. I was getting so frustrated that our coach didn't make adjustments to try to at least match up against this defense that I didn't take too many pictures.
The bright spot of the day was seeing my old friends, Tab and Phil. Their daughter was also playing in the tournament so they came over to chat while her team was warming up. It was so fun catching up!
One final picture from our wonderful trip before hitting the road.
We drove to South Carolina where we spent the night and then drove all day Sunday to get home by that evening. It was a long drive but hey, I finally got my picture of cotton growing in the field!
